Penguinos Lego Research Project
Mission Statement: The Penguinos goal is to help save the earth by educating people and taking action. This project is focused on educating children and adults in our community on the importance of water conservation.
We do this because we feel it is our job to help the earth with this crisis. It may not affect us too, too badly, but it will affect our children even more.
Last year we competed in a different Lego tournament. For that tournament we researched energy usage at our school. In fact, we even did an energy audit at our school. We found out that our school was wasting a lot of energy that didn't need to be wasted. We helped our school become more energy efficient, and after giving them our help they managed to save 50% of all of their energy usage. Our members even won $1,100 to help our school become even more energy efficient. We are proud of our team and all of the work we have done.
If you want to find out more about our team you can also ask questions when e-mailing us. Please look at the other links on our website. They are very interesting and there are some great ideas that we have gathered.
About Us:
The Penguinos are a very jubilant Lego team. We are four girls at The Phillips Brooks School. We work hard to fulfill our goal.
This website is a result of our teamwork and our hard-working members. We learned a lot from this research and hope to keep helping the earth.
You can e-mail us your thoughts & ideas to penguinoslego@yahoo.com.
